Are Crystal HD Drivers and the Composite Hack not working together?
#1
Hey there,

i cannot get the Crystal HD to get recognized by XBMC whenever i install the composite Hack that i need for my old TV in the living room.

Is it a coincident or are those two drivers/hacks really not working together?

Thank you!

Edit: Well it seems that both work together now but i cannot manage to get color after a reboot. I always have to manually "unload" and "reload" the TVComposite.kext via NitoTV. I actually set this kext as an autostart item "via nitotv" and added it to rc.local.

I dont know what to do..

Hey,

I had this issue once. Unfortunately 3.x firmware has borked TvComposite's ability to start in rc.local, I too could only get it to work by manually kextloading it after boot or through NitoTV. All I recommend is that you downgrade your firmware to 2.x (2.4 probably best) and see if you have better luck there, as I don't think the issue started until 3.x.

Strange.. i connected my atv to another tv via composite (no changes made besides the 2nd tv is 16:9 not 4:3 like the 1st one) and everything works fine now.
