Is my Macbook Pro not strong enough to play 1080p?

Hi all.

First I would like to say that XBMC is new to me. But I love the program.

I have a Old Macbook pro with a 1.83 Intel Core Duo and 2gb of memory. The gfx is a Radeon X1600. I'm running a OSX ver. 10.5.8.

When I try to play 1080p.BluRay.X264 it lacks alot. and does it also with 720P
but not so much.

Is my Mac not strong enough? Or do I need to do something?

1080p.BluRay.X264 is pushing it. 720p should be fine. Check xbmc.log and make sure it's using a GL renderer and has not dropped back to software. Maybe try ARB instead of auto.
