I'm wondering what tagging scheme you use for your classical music.

How do you deal with your tags when you have different interpretations of the same works? I find myself struggling to find a consistent naming/tagging scheme while retaining all information like composer, conductor, performers, work, movement, opus/no, music catalogue, release name etc etc

Unfortunately XBMC seems to be very rigid about the tags it supports. What's your take on this?

I think it just uses the tags within the music file. You can see these by right clicking, properties, details.

You can edit them with a media player/manager such as iTunes, or Media Monkey (link below)

Yes, I know. But with classical music it's much more difficult so that they are easily accessible from within XBMC, because you don't just have Artists and an Album Artist.

Yes, MediaMonkey is what I use for tagging at the moment, too. But still... it's difficult to find a good approach
