HP DV6000 Quickplay remote xbmc compatible
#1
I couldn't find this information so I risked buying the quickplay remote for my HP DV6000 notebook that I have working as my XBMC pc since my xbox died. Yes the remote does work out of box, I hope that helps other people.

It does have several unmapped buttons though. I was wondering if anyone else has tried any of the key-mapping setups with this remote/system setup. The difficulty is that the remote works with the laptop without any software or driver installs, so I do not know if it's compatible with keyboard command assigning etc, or which of the programs work with it.

Use the ShowKey applet and/or check the registry to see what type of remote it is. If it's an MCE clone try using the keyboard.xml from mceremote.zip.
