FLAC playback PROBLEMS!
#1
Hi guys,
I got a strange problem. I have a big library in flac format. If I play all my files in banshee or totem I do not face any kind of problems. Using XBMC, for some album, I cannot hear music, just crappy sounds and than, the player skips to the next track.
I already tried to remove any tag and pictures from these files, but nothing changes.
I converted it to mp3 and the created file sounds good also in XBMC.
My log file is here:
http://pastebin.com/XVjBgUg7

Can it be related to the number of Channels? It seams that XBMS sets this number wrongly! Of course are only stereo files (only 2 Channel):
Code:
CPulseAudioDirectSound::Initialize - Channels: 6 - SampleRate: 44111 - SampleBit: 16 - Resample false - IsMusic true - IsPassthrough false - audioDevice: default

Can someone help me?
If someone is interested, I can send a flac file, just tell me where and how.
Thanks to everybody in advance!

P.S. Ubuntu 10.04 but the problem was also on 9.10

It could be pulseaudio related perhaps. It could also be the file. I suggest uploading a short file that shows the issue so that others can test.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first.

These are 2 flac files with 2 different problems.
- One is played with errors and it crashes after a couple of seconds.
- The other one is played faster than it should be :confused2:.
