Does anyone know how I can add BBC Radio 1 to my XBMC system? I just want to be able to listen to it now and then.

Yes I have Sky TV which I could use, but just thinking I'd like it inside of XBMC.

Sky TV is soon to be gone, its become redundant.

Create a file called something like BBCRadio1.strm. Actually you can call it anything you want as long as it ends in ".strm". In this file put the text:

mms://wmlive-acl.bbc.co.uk/wms/bbc_ami/radio1/radio1_bb_live_eq1_sl0

Now put the file in some folder that your Music section looks at, just as if it was an mp3, and when you play it XBMC will start streaming from Radio 1. It can take a while to buffer. Don't be alarmed if it takes 20 seconds to get going.

Don't know though I don't think so as I think that stream is just 128Kbps. A bit of Googling should easily find other streams.

BBC Radio uses iPlayer for playing online these days so I'm not sure for how much longer the mms streams will work.

Works and sounds great! Added a custom home menu so its right there on the home screen. (Night skin)

Any idea how to add a custom menu to Alaska?
