Can XBMC do....
#1
I'm trying to setup a Media Centre at the moment, I have come from WMC to give XBMC a go, I am really struggling to find if it will actually do what I want it to do:

1. Put a DVD in, rip it to the HDD, DVD appears in Videos section (All done in XBMC)?

2. Put a CD in, rip it to the HDD, CD appears in music (All done in XBMC)?

On the second one I have got the CD working but it won't rip it just does nothing.

Those two tasks are the only things I need it to do, which is easily done with WMC and My Movies.

Thanks for any help received.

1. No, or at least I don't think so
2. Yes

If you're using a Dharma beta build I think the CD handling was broken for a while, but it's fixed in the most recent builds.

Handbrake appears to be the most popular way of ripping DVDs.

I'm using Karmic, I added the cd drive as a source and it plays the cd fine, but when I select cd ripping it just does nothing or rips only the first track which won't even play
