I have 2 profiles, one for the kids which is not protected and then one for the parents which has a 4 digit code to access. When the kids are logged on, I can control XBMC via HTTP. However, when the parents are logged in, I can't connect via HTTP. Any suggestions?
I am running svn 27017, but this has happened for many svn's before so it isn't isolated to 27017 only. I am running it on a Minimal Ubuntu install, could that be the problem?

A bit more information.
When logged on as the Kids, I can navigate to my XBMC box in a web browser like so "http://xbmcbox:8080". However, at the profile select screen or logon page, HTTP control is dead and when I log on as the Parents HTTP control is dead, meaning, when I go to "http://xbmcbox:8080" my web browser says it can't find the web page. It is like the web server stops at the logon page and when the Parents are logged in, but is enabled when the Kids are logged on.
Any clues?

Perhaps it's simply not running in the parent's profile? Check settings.

thanks for reply.
I double checked the settings and the radio buttons for HTTP control are selected. to make sure it wasn't an ubuntu issue, i installed svn 33300 on my mac book pro and i still have same issue.
where to go from here?

Just tried disabling the simple 4 digit lock code on the Parents profile and then HTTP control resumed working. Maybe the HTTP request needs to somehow include the lock code? Right now the setting for the web server are username=xbmc and password=xbmc. Should that be changed?
Also, no matter what I try, HTTP control (for example up, down, enter) does not work in the Profile logon screen. Is that by design?
