I'm considering upgrading to the Dharma Beta. Before I do, I plan on doing a fresh install of Lucid Lynx. In the past, I've had to disable and remove pulseaudio and set up ALSA before installing XBMC.
My system is connected to speakers via S/PDIF.

Is this still standard procedure, or have things changed?
