When I tried to access my library, xbmc is crashing back to the desktop.

You built this yourself, right? I think you'll find that if you build fresh from a completely clean environment and the crash will go away.

yes. Normally I do a make distclean and a few other things before i run the 'make -j2'. This time it appears the 'make distclean' does somethings different. I was going to try and blow away all the source in the directory and rebuild again later this evening.
