scripts button missing

ok, I want to install and run the mythbox script. I am running Linux Mint 9. I installed XBMC following the directions here. I downloaded the lattest version of the mythbox script. according to the readme in that pack, I am to extract to .xbmc/scripts, this directory, does not exist, so I make it. next the directions tell me to go to scripts from the main page, there is no button to scripts anywhere.

wtfHuh

I rtfm, it tells me there is supposed to be a link to scripts on the main page too. I don't see mention of scripts not being supported under Linux anywhere, I don't see anything even remotely similar to this mentioned anywhere.

Sounds like you installed Dharma betaRolleyes

For MythBox you will have to get the RC2. To download it copy this in to a terminal.
Code:
hg clone https://mythbox.googlecode.com/hg/ mythbox
This will add the directory 'mythbox' to your home folder. Move it to .xbmc/addons/ It should show up in the programs menu.

yup, that fixed it, though I seem to have some issues with playback stopping/slowmoing intermittently. but that's a different issue.

You can also access your mythtv by adding a video source like this.
Code:
myth://username:[email protected]
Use the mythtv user name and the mysql password.
