some HD movies play in slowmotion
#1
For some weird reason some movies I have on my internal HD are playing in slowmotion.. They used to play fine but now for some reason they play in slowmotion. Only thing I've done is some moving around of the files from the internal HD to a external HD and back again to the internal HD.. updating xbmc didn't help.

I'm using confluence on xbmc 10.0-beta1 r33324

I've figured out it's only with mp4 files. But they used to play fine.. Anybody have any ideas?

Hi

I had the same problem after updating to xbmc dharma beta1. Low FPS on all the HD movies and some iso's.
I followed this guide to get a perfectly synced playback and after that everything worked.

Maybe worth a shot for you too?

In the meanwhile I've updated (and reinstalled Wink beta2 to revision 33778. What I have found is that the mp4 and wmv movies played properly after the reinstall, but I did not have sound with any movie. Once I had set the sound to use HDMI (audio output, audio output device and passthrough audio device) I got my sound back for most movies, but the mp4 and wma movies play in slowmotion again.

In my debug log I found lines as these:
Code:
08:21:56 T:2727938928 M:1653751808   ERROR: Open - error probing input format, smb://READYSHARE/USB_Storage/video/Movies/Heat 1995 BRRip H264 5.1 ch-SecretMyth (Kingdom-Release)/Heat.mp4

My debug log is here: http://htlm.org/k5QD
The log is kinda filled at the bottom, but search for mp4 or wma will get you to Back to the future, Amazon or American Beauty which are examples which don't play properly.

Hope you can help Smile

//edit: I have resolved the issue. I reinstalled xbmc and did a "sudo apt-get upgrade xbmc" and now everything works. I think the problem was that I did a "sudo apt-get dist-upgrade" which screwed up al sorts of drivers.

Stil the slow playback of HD files.

Log: http://pastebin.com/pXjveFAi
File: WMV container
Audio: Windows Media Audio 48000Hz 6ch 640Kbps [Raw Audio 0]
Video: WVC1 1280x720 23.98fps 3600Kbps [Raw Video 1]

XBMC-live 10.0 beta2 r33778
Nividia drivers 260.19.04
Alsa 1.0.23
Hardware m3n78-em (GeForce 8300) connected via HDMI to receiver or tv

Verry slow playback without any audio

Had the same problem with ac3 audio before but changing the audio option to ac3 compatible receiver to on, fixed that problem.

Have tried more wmv containers but always the same problem.
