I have a modded original xbox (v1.1) with an xecuter3 chip. An old coworker built it for me. most of the scripts dont work anymore and it hasnt been updated in atleast 2 years. He used to do it for me, but now he is long gone and I dont know what to do.I use it almost everyday and im sure there are tons of new bells and whistles im missing out on.

Is there an easy update procedure to follow?

I can ftp to the xbox and I have access to torrent files.

Do people even use the original xbox for xbmc any more? it seems like the info i find on it is old.

Support for xbox was dropped sometime ago, however there is still an active community at xbmc4xbox.org

Buy a Revo instead and run XBMC Live. You'll find it a vaaaaaaaaaaaast improvement on the XBox.
