Been asked multiple times but...
Is fanart display enabled by the specific skin (ie gamex-fanart.jpg) or by the launcher (ie executor/launcher)?
I've seen reasoning for disabling in launcher (as it was hammering last.fm for example or shoutcast) but if all were talking about is putting a manual entry into the programs.xml or something pointing to a local fanart image will the skin as well need to be modified?
I'm not asking to scrape data for 1000's of roms etc just for the ability to perhaps take program link x and have it display fanart y for it...
