Reset Audio output upon startup?
#1
Hi,

This has been asked before, but I cant see an answer to it:

Is it possible to reset the Audio output setting every time you start XBMC?

I would want it to stay on Analog every time I start XBMC so I get sound on the TV rather than the Amp, but at the moment every time I switch to Digital (in the OSD menu while watching a movie) to get sound on the Amp it stays even though I restart XBMC.. I am able to switch to analog every time I want it, but with kids and wife who find it difficult it would be nice to always start with analog sound, then change to digital if I want that.

I'm no pro at this and not much of a contributor, but I stumbled across your thread and though, have you tried setting the config file as read only? That might work.

That might do the trick, but I guess a number of other settings need the file in order for them to be stored...

It would be nice if XBMC always reset the audio output to whatever was set under settings/system/audio, and made any change to the audio set while watching a movie as temporary.
