I always use Ember Media Manager to scrape images and detail from movies. Is there any point in me doing this seeing as XBMC automatically scrapes new films anyways and stores the contents in its cache?

To test, I changed background image for one of my movies using Ember, went back to XBMC and it still had the original image there, so I guess its using its own scraped images rather than anything I do myself with Ember?

In which case, Im thinking of abandoning Ember altogether and also removing my structure which has a film in its own folder along with the fanart, folder, movie.nfo and movie.tbn files as there would seem little point to it.

Any advice would be appreciated!

XBMC uses your artwork when you add your movies to library but if your movies are already in library and you change something you must go to info and hit refresh in order for the change to be updated as it doesn't know you have changed one jpg for another

You only really need to use ember if your fussy about your artwork
