I'm starting to add shows from the latest seasons to my library. so I create a season 'X' folder (like all the previous folders) and then name the individual episodes according to the wiki. Everything works fine - but - my question is, why don't the season images get downloaded (i.e. House season 7 etc)? I've checked on thetvdb.com and in all my cases these images exist - they're just not getting downloaded. I know I can do it manually and rename them to .tbn files but that's a bit of a pain. context menu has a 'set season thumbnail' button but that's just for browsing locally - not via the tvdb scraper. (atvlinux/dharma2)

In fact I did read what you linked - thanks for putting me on the right track.
But that fix did not work for me so I found another thread that seemed to be more like the experience that I was having. Did you read what I linked to you?
If you had, you'd know that I was not pointing out "what and when things should be fixed", but actually quoting someone else who identified the same problem AND submitted the patch for it.
I know this is free software. I know people work hard on it. If you lived near me I'd buy you a beer. It's all good.

Yes I did read, and that linked thread is about that very same issue I linked to you. More precisely a scraping issue from tvdb due to API changes. That has been addressed and fixed.
If you have tvdb scraper updated to v1.0.8 and your problem still persists, then it's unrelated to the scraping issue and needs new thread and/or a track ticket if 100% reproducable with debug.log and steps to reproduce.
