Hi, just wondering if there's an ideal format for backdrops for ATV (I'm using Aeon Auriga Lite skin and getting a fair bit of slowdown on all screens).

I've downloaded some backdrops I like but they're a mix of JPEGs and BMPs, was wondering which of these (or which other) formats will load snappiest and run smoothest on XBMC on ATV? I've read that DDS fan art can be switched on with the "useddsfanart" tag in advanced settings, can something like this be done for backdrops?

Also, is the optimal resolution 720p?

You can use whatever resolution you'd like. For an ATV I'd stay at 720, and yes look into using DDS conversion and yes it is for backdrops.
