Hi

Im running XBMC for years, first on Xbox now for some years on a pc with XBMC live installed on the Harddisk (9.11). It ran smoothly for years. Now ive changed my harddisk from a 40gb to a 1tb drive.

The problems I face afther reinstallation is that XBMC is unstable. It crashed every ahlf an hour,.. different crashed. It just hangs, or I get the Ubuntu CLI and the skin stops all these kind of issues.

I also see that when playing music or video you see large blocks or hear the music stratching like there is an issue with the performance...

I updated the BIOS, tried Hypertreading on/off, reinstallations, different partitions,.. everything.

Can anyone help me, Im trying to get it stable for days now..

Thanks (I also tried the new Beta version from 14 sept. same story) It in the same machine only difference is the Harddisk...

Just swapped back to my old HD but experiencing the same issues,... I see these blocks and blurry screens in every movie and the sound of music is not right... sometimes it take about 20 minutes before it starts... Anyone?

And Im getting now the XBMC live Login screen again:... and the skin stops.. Im getting sick of it

also, install a different OS (ubuntu desktop e.g.) and see if it also crashes

everything sounds like a general hardware problem

I keep having issues, also with the Dharma & Camelot lvie versions. Stange thing is that I have used the same machine before. I swapped the harddisk and the problem I face now is that XBMC runs smotthly for lets say half an hour and while watching a movie for example. I see bloxs in the screen .. looks like performence issues and after a few minutes later XBMC crashes. I have looked into the crash dumps but cannot figure out what the issue is..

After further testing it seems to be that one memorybank is causing the issues....

! Its not the memorybank! Im experiencing the same issues again
