I can access via http://myiphere/downloaddaemon but when I try http://myDynDns.net/downloaddaemon it doesn't work what gives

I can have acess to Downloaddaemon in my lan with http://192.168.1.5/downloaddaemon/

But how can I acess it if I'm not home?
http://Wan-ip/downloaddaemon/ don't work..

Is there a port I must forwarding in my router?

I have received my XBMC hardware this week and tried to set up everything yesterday. Unfortunately, when following the initial step-by-step instructions for installing downloaddaemon. Everything worked, except the installation for the WebGUI. I was not able to untar the WebGUI due to an error from gunzip. Instead I will use the win client on another computer that is fine. There is only one problem, I am not able to perform any downloads. When I import the downloads the program is not able to write the data on the disk. Has this to do with the permissions on the disk?

But I want to run downloaddaemon as my xbmc user like danz0l describes. Unfortunately, when I make the changes in the file I am not able to access the downloaddaemon server on my xbmc computer. When I undo the changes I have access to the server again. Is there anything else I have to do or may I did make a mistake somewhere in the process?
