Hi,

I have been trying out the Dharma Beta release and have a problem that I have not read about elsewhere - so is this a known issue or should I raise a bug report?

It has a habit of freezing when selecting something (spinning beach ball and all that) accompanied with a heavy disc access - I use an external firewire drive to store the media. There seems no pattern to the behavior. It will work fine for a bit and then stick and not always on the same thing. Also happens when closing down.

Version 9 has been in use for a while and works fine.

Kit: Mac Mini 1.66GHz. Core Duo 1G Ram with OSX 10.6 plus external firewire drive

Note that XBMC 'sticks' and does not crash as such. After maybe 5 or more seconds it responds again.

try turning off auto thumbnail generation.

Ok, I've turned off 'download actor thumbnails when adding to library' which I guess is what you you were referring to. On a quick try it looks like that has fixed it.
