Beta 3 Logitech Dinovo Edge not supported
#1
Hi all,

Awesome look on the Beta 3 sofar using the live CD installed on a disk.

I have always used to use a Windows system to run XBMC with my Dinovo Edge keyboard.
In the new linux environment, my keyboard does not work out of the box.

I have already tried several fixes by installing the "bluetooth" package but sofar no go.

Shouldnt this be working out of the box? Smile

Thanks.

what do you mean by "does not work"?

does it not work at all, or are only the multimedia keys not assigned?

have you already tried to re-connect keyboard and dongle with the button method?
OpenElec Standalone --> Asus Chromebox 'Panther' --> Onkyo TX-NR709 --> Sony 55" X85C Android TV (also with Kodi!)
Asus Chromebox EZ Script
Kodi on Sony Bravia Android TVs

Nothing works.
Ofcourse i already tried reconnecting them with the buttons but the keyboard just keeps "Searching" for the signal but does not find anything.

It works fine right away when i move the keyboard back to a windows machine.

I see the same thing in RC1!!!
You can use the keyboard during install but after that no go...

maybe I should try the freak release?!

Have you tried this:

http://awesomelinux.blogspot.com/2010/05...-edge.html

Going to start myself with an ASRock build to replace my 2009 Mac Mini.

Got an ASRock 330ION, with 4GB RAM and a 60GB SSD. I'm really hoping I'll get my DiNovo Edge to work as it is key to my HTPC experience...

I want to go the Ubuntu route to avoid the bloat of Win7...

If you use XBMC Freaks version of XBMC Live the Dinovo Edge keybord works without any mods. Also the MCE and the Asrock Remote works directly after installation.

I can confirm that after installing Ubuntu 10.10 Desktop edition the Dinovo Edge Mac Edition works directly after installation (using a USB Bluetooth Dongle)
