I have 2 revo 1600's ordered today

keep in mind this is my first attempt at XBMC....lol

don't know if its important but 1 will go to a hd tv for my boss...lol
and mine will actually use a vga to s-video converter box for now until i upgrade my tv

what version would be best for me to install and maintain considering my noobness

straight live install?
darma beta 2?
darma beta 3?
freak?

I would imagine they will be here next week so I will be trying to straighten up all of my media until then so I am hoping you guys can take this stress at least from my shoulders too...

dharma beta3 live should fit the bill. while camelot works fine and perhaps is marginally more stable, it's missing quite a lot of goodies. as a bonus, updating that to dharma final should be just a simple apt-get update (no reason to reinstall the entire system).

i can't comment on freak, never used it, but it should be good as well from what i hear.
