[ATV-OSX w/chd] Dharma Beta 3 is a no-go!
#31
Just to say that dharma beta 3 r174 and 1080p : nogo. I was playing 1080P with r156 and dharma. I willl try to revert to dharma beta 2.

My asrock ion 330, Ubuntu 10.04 dharma beta 3 is playing well, very well 1080p but keep it for my projector, ATV is for the plasma.

I did a reboot and this time my logs were ok but not 1080p playing.

Are these commands OK to revert to beta 2 :

wget http://mirrors.xbmc.org/nightlies/osx/xb...a2-x86.dmg
wget http://atv-xbmc-launcher.googlecode.com/..._update.sh
chmod +x xbmc-9.04_update.sh
./xbmc-9.04_update.sh xbmc-r33778-Dharma_beta2-x86.dmg

@fpoil, work the problem. What is your mem usage, full output of "top". Do it before and after launching XBMC.

I have similar experience with Dharma 3, r174 driver on OSX and r171 on Linux. Raw 1080p rips in MKV containers not playing smoothly.

Part of the the problem was isolated to the DTS audio track (a bug which I believe has recently been fixed). If I remux the video with an AC3 audio track I still have some stuttering.

I'll post some logs tonight along with the media info.

I have tried Beta3 with drivers r174 and works fine
The problem was only with driver 156 installed manually it would seem

Correction it just stutters later on

@fpoil

plenty of percent idle, no pageouts. don't see why you would have a problem.
