Dharma 3 Live USB cpufreq problem
#1
Question
I installed Dharma 3 on my nettop ION system.

Product link here: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.asp...-_-Product

I installed it on my SSD using the unetbootin.exe file described here:

http://www.mini-itx.com/projects/xbmc-ion/

When I went to restart my HTPC it constantly shows the loading screen for XBMC. After 3 restarts i figured out that hitting ESC shows the boot info.

So far the system stalls at:

Loading cpufreq kernal modules [failed]

and then the system hangs indefinitely.

I had the system booting off 9.11, but I ran into the dreaded "Unable to initiate audio device" problem. Being unable to resolve that problem (not familiar with 'nix at all) I tried Dharma 3 beta since it claimed to be more "out of box" friendly.

I have a limited understanding of linux. But I am fairly techie, anyone able to help?

So I have tried to run Dharma 3 as a live boot as well, but this seems to also hang on this issue.

If some one could give me a lead as to just what the heck cpufreq kernel modules are I could likely follow the breadcrumbs myself.

Well since I can't seem to fix this and it's been 5 days of pure frustration and endless fruitless google searching, perhaps to community can help with this question then:

Can a nettop running an atom 535, 4gb of ddr2, and ION2 run windows 7 home premium successfully?

I know this is the linux/live forum but it seems that I can't get either to run successfully.

edit: this error in the initial post also occurs on Dharma 4.
