[live] need help (ISO) install Dharma on Revo 1600
#1
I have a revo 1600 with xbmc 9.11 installed on the hd.

I tested a live version of 9.11 creating a usb drive with unbootin with no problem (the iso had drivers for ION and ATI cards)

I want to test dharma, but i can not follow some instructions.
Does anyone have a iso for the revo 1600?

Also, is there any way to backup my revo HD before to start tinkering with it?

To backup - SCP in and copy over your userdata folder from the .xbmc directory.

To install Dharma - get the newest version of unetbootin, download the dharma iso from http://mirrors.xbmc.org/releases/, and use unetbootin in on it to create your flash drive, just like you did with 9.11.

Why not just download the beta live iso, run it on a machine and run the bootable wizard disc creator to make the bootable usb stick?

I did it, but my revo went to a tty screen.
I tested it also in a virtual machine in my PC, with the same results.

Thats how I installed the Dharma betas on my Revo 1600s.

Downloaded the Dharma beta live cd... ran it on my desktop pc... ran the Boot disc wizard that built a bootable image on my usb flash drive... then used that flash drive to boot and install xbmc live on my Revos.

just an update:

I tried xbmc live again, using unbootin and dharma beta3, this time it worked in "live", everything was perfect.

So with my dharma live in my usb stick installed it to revo, without any hickup
Thanks
