XBMC on Ubuntu: HDMI audio problem
#1
Hi Experts,

I've intalled XBMC Standalone on Ubuntu Maverick. XBMC works perfectrly on Gnome. No graphic problem.
I set the audio output to HDMI. No sound problem.
I lunch XBMC from Gnome, everything works. I got sound and video playback.
But, if i decided to set the autologon directly on XBMC (instead of Gnome), i got a sound problem. I'm unable to get the sound from HDMI Output. Does drivers are loaded before the GUI? Why the HDMI audio output works on XBMC under Gnome, but not directly under XBMC?

Specs:
Model: Dell Zino HD 400
Video: AMD RS780
Audio: Conexant CS20561

Any suggestions?

Thks

You may try adding a "pulseaudio -D" line to your xbmc-standalone script file (I think it's located under /usr/bin, but I'm not sure) before running to actual xbmc. It might work.
