[MAC] Pauses at exact same point in video
#1
I have Darma beta 4 running on OSX 10.6
With some x264 720p TV shows (from rlsgroup IMMERSE and orenji) i have video/audio freezes at exactly the same point in the video. I tested the same video in VLC and PLEX and there it played fine, so that makes me think XBMC does something wrong? or is more sensitive?
Because i ran into this once again last night i decided to enable debug log to see whats going wrong.

Video where the problem occurred and i tested with is dexter.s05e05.720p.hdtv.x264-orenji.mkv. Somewhere around 43:00 it freezes for a second.

I already toggled nearly all video settings (VDA, sync playback to display, vertical blank sync) but none helped.

For full debug log see here.
I don't really understand but the following lines seems to me where the problem occurs (but again i'm not sure):
Code:
18:18:41 T:2954493952 M:1203593216  NOTICE: Opening audio stream: 0 source: 256

Hopefully some can tell what is going wrong.

Known issue, it's at the cut out commercial right ? the audio channels changed and there's a slight burb.

No i'm almost sure it's not at the commercial cut, because it happens in the middle of a sentence.
And i remember another episode where it occurs and there it's in the middle of a scene.

Thanks for your help. So actually it's just an error in the video?
How come XBMC seems to have more trouble with the change of audio channels then VLC or PLEX, they don't freeze or halt at that point.

Well i'm glad its just the file and not my setup causing the freeze.
