So, using motioninjoy to connect my ds3 controller to my win7 machine. I cannot figure the keymap out or what i need to do to use the damn controller in xbmc! i have a keymap that was floating around on the forums in the keymap folder. its labeled dualshock 3.xml. i tried renaming it to gamepad, keymap, etc... anyone shed some light on it?

The only remote control API built into XBMC for Windows is for IR Server Suite. So if you can persuade IR Server Suite to see your remote you can use it that way.

An alternative is Eventghost, which a lot of people hereabouts use to great effect. I don't know if your remote is supported by Eventghost or IR Server Suite, but Google will hopefully help.

Generally Windows remotes work by emulating keyboard presses or by sending APPCOMMAND messages. See http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Usi..._with_XBMC for more info. You need to work out what your remote dos in Windows so you can work out how to get XBMC to recognise it.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, it doesn't work properly in eventghost (I've posted about it here http://www.eventghost.org/forum/viewtopi...f=2&t=2914). Basically, dpad presses register twice and up and down also register as the same button. Also, analog doesn't work (although I could live without that).

Surely someone must have their ps3 controller working wirelessly on xbmc?
