MCE remote constantly sending 2 commands
#1
This is getting increasingly frustrating. I'm using a Harmony with an MCE USB receiver with an XBMC Live install. Ever since I upgraded from the last stable release to the beta it will quite frequently get into a state where it sends two presses every time I press a button, making it damn near impossible to navigate or control.

Is there some setting under linux to fit this? irw output shows something like this:
00 left mceusb
01 left mceusb
for a normal button push and
00 left mceusb
01 left mceusb
02 left mceusb
03 left mceusb
for one that was interpreted as two.

Try adjusting the GAP settings in lircd.conf
Quite some time ago I had a similar problem and it was resolved in this way.

/etc/lirc/lircd.conf

Make some rather large adjustments and test.

Thanks FishOil. The gap was 105000, I tried 150000 and I only saw one response in IRW for each press, however holding a button generated only one response also. I tried a bunch of values and ended up at 125000. At that point I still see two responses, and I can scroll quickly, but so far have not had a misfire. I'll give that a try.

Now is there some way to store this in my user directory? I just edited the master config file for my remote, since /etc/lirc/lircd.conf references that and I didn't know the syntax to replace one setting.
