Video not sync
#1
Hi there,
I've just installed Sabayon which include XBMC, for my HTPC.

However I have some issues to read couple of videos.

I had grey color, but a basic render did the trick.

However the image is still slower than the sound for some videos, and some others the video is far speeder than the sound...

But the major part of my movies are okay...

I've checked to read theses movies directly with mplayer, not problem at all.

If you have any ideas how to solve this, please let me know

Thank you

Well, I didn't post sufficient info I guess.
I'm running the latest Sabayon version, under a 2.6.36 kernel with ATI drivers 10.9-r1.

I have a AMD x6 1055T coupled with an ATI 5870

Any idea ?

Thank you

If it's only a few movies could you try just using the audio offset control on those movies to get them to sync correctly? I know I have to do this from time to time and it only takes a few seconds at the beginning of the film to get setup and then you're fine from there.

Well, sometimes the video goes slower than the sound (So not really due to a bas sync) or sometimes faster than the sound....

Start with posting a debug log as described here: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=34655

Okay thank you.
Just for info, I'm using XBMC version 9.11 rexoirted (compiled : Sep 4 2010)
When I'm watching these movies, I got sometimes more than 300FPS and sometimes 12FPS...However the sound is flawless, no problem...

Here is the entire log:

That's a good idea, the 9.11 release is quite old now.

Indeed, with the RC1 version, the problem is solved.
