OS: Kubuntu 18.04

Recently upgraded to Kodi 18 (using Team XBMC PPA), installed RetroArch, kodi-game-libretro and Internet Archhive Game Launcher.
But for whatever reason I don't see "Emulators" listed under "Game Addons". I tried with a clean ".kodi" folder just in case an add-on was causing a conflict, but nothing changed.

Is there something extra required to make "Emulators" available?

 I grasp that this should be fixed? I'm still missing the whole Emulator category on 18.1 nightly and half of the cores I'm seeing in the Bionic PPA don't show up searching through apt cache.
