hello everybody,
I have just recently gotten XBMC along with the Night skin, but I am struggling to get some features going on it. A friend of mine had his XBMC running so that the tV shows and movies fanarts constantly cycle in the background on the Home layout as well as having specific alternating fanarts for tv shows and etc.

Along with that, of the following forum, I have downloaded the "weather.rar" from the following post: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=41650

And I have tried to point towards this folder for the 'use Conditon based weather fanart in the HOme window options without much luck. For background customizer I have pointed to the extracted files from weather.rar but it only cycles through the same couple of pictures.

I have a couple of questions:

1) I have been putting all of my files into the AppData/Roaming/XBMC folder on my Windows 7x64 PC... is this the right directory to place all fanart and weather stuff?

2) How and from where do I download all the fanarts and extrafanarts to have the random cycling of fanart in Home layout movies and tv shows , as well as have random cycling of of extrafanart in Library mode for TV shows.

I would really appreciate your help. THank you so much. I have read on the wiki and other forums, but I couldn't understand.

Mmm, you point direct to the rar file? If yes, i think u have to unpack the folder inside, you have to have a folder called weather, inside more folder with numbers, 0-1-2-3-etc. Inside each folder you can find the weather fanart wich is reconize automatically for xbmc.

It doesn´t matter where u put the folder, i have the backdrops in a diferent Harddisk and all work fantastic.

I have tried pointing directly to .zip file but it didn't work, and then when I tried to extract files there are numerous folders, and I don't know how to get them to work in XBMC.

Also, I would like to have continous slideshow effect of film fanart being shuffled through as the backgrounds on the Home Windows (Moves, HD Movies, etc.)

Any idea how to do this, and from where to get the files?

Here is where to download tv shows and movie fanart :

For tv shows download them from http://www.thetvdb.com/
For Movies : http://www.themoviedb.org/

Then On each show / Movie you need to create a extrafanart folder where you drop all fanart pictures for that particular show except one that you keep at the root of the folder
