Can't get dts/ac3 sound from windows7??
Hello all, hoping someone can help. I've also posted this in the onkyo 608 owners thread but because I now think it's a codec setting ive posted it here as well.

Basically I've just got an onkyo 608 connected to a pc (acer revo) which has a dual boot to xbmc live or win 7. Connected by hdmi to the amp. In xbmc live, everything works as it should. I get dts/ac3 sound from mkv files over the hdmi.

I can't replicate this in windows 7. I'm using k-lite codec pack and have set it to pass through dts/ac3 however when I play an mkv I get no sound at all. On the amp display it says input is analogue. I can listen to mp3's from win7 fine, and the startup/shutdown sounds play fine. It's just not passing the dts/ac3 tracks to the amp.

Any suggestions? I've been trying for 2 days now and it's really starting to irritate me!!

Thanks in advance guys.

Ignore this, all fixed. I reinstalled nvidia hdmi audio driver and all is fixed.
