I'm having trouble getting my Acer Revo 1600 with XBMC Live over Ubuntu connected to my network after upgrading my router. I can't really understand what is going on because a lot of this network stuff is over my head, but I think there is some sort of IP conflict or something, maybe? I didn't seem to have these problems with my Buffalo router with DDWRT. I'm running a Netgear WNDR3400 now if that helps.
-I can get the networking to work for a short period after running the command "/etc/init.d/networking restart" and rebooting, but it always craps out.
Is it possible that I need to set the Revo to use a static IP instead of DHCP and if so, how can I do that via the command line?
Thanks in advance for helping a noob!
