I don't understand, it seems that patch gives native pass through without DSPlayer.

Recent patches do allow bitstreaming under linux with certain hardware.

However, its not supported in xbmc yet. Haven't fully looked at it, but as a bare minimum it needs ffmpeg to be updated and not sure what changes would be needed to our audio engine
