Remove hard drive then backup?
#1
I want to put the crystalbuntu image on my atv hard drive, but absolutely want to backup the drive first. I've been looking at the atv-bootloader tutorial which seems do-able, but a stretch for me to work out all the linux stuff (I don't know any linux).

But I've already taken the atv apart to install the crystalhd card and I have an SATA dock I could put the atv drive in. Is there an easier way to backup the drive once it's out of the atv and connected to my Mac?

Thanks.

Outstanding! This looks like exactly what I'm looking for. I'm surprised it didn't show up when I searched. Bad search terms I guess. Thanks!
