Last.FM love control?
#1
Question
hi,
have searched the forum and the wiki but couldn't really find an answer to my question:

Is there a control wich can check whether a track is already loved or baned?

I know lastfm.love and lastfm.ban but to change a button to its alttexture i would need a check if it's already the one the other or not set. Or is there another way to achiev this?

btw. does the lastfm.love and lastfm.ban control toggle or is it just in one direction, which would mean i could never unlove something Rolleyes

thanks

does
Quote:LastFM.CanLove Returns true if the current song can be added to the users Last.fm loved songs.
LastFM.CanBan Returns true if the current song can be banned from the users Last.fm radio.
do that ? I have no idea what it means as I've never ever used last.fm or had an account with them but I guess if its already loved once you can't love it again ?

investigated it a little bit:
1) XBMC.LastFM.Love works (with an anoying Yes/No Dialog) BUT it doesn't toogle the lovestatus back by pressing it twice
2) XBMC.LastFM.Ban doesn't work at all
3) XBMC.LastFM.CanLove shows no working (tested also the inverted condition)
4) XBMC.LastFM.CanBan is the same as 3)

Has the API of Last.FM changed or is the part in XBMC outdated?
Is there actual working on this?
Have tested everything with local stored music.
The anoying yes/no dialog shows only the first time you love a track. but after restarting xbmc and trying to love this track again it shows up again for the first try...

hope that helps to get this worked around or am i doing sth wrong?

hmm shouldn't start writing a post investigate an hour and then finish the post just to see that nearly everything is already answered

thanks jezz_x
now i know how i can disable this anoying dialog and that lastfm.ban only works on lastfm radio stations

but the problem how to recognize if a track is already loved stays...
