That is definitely a sweet case and one powerful rig you have there. Its a bit much for XBMC but as you stated you will be doing some gaming there so I can't fault you on it. Plus, if you've got the parts laying around why not use the best.

For windows, this is a commonly suggested card that does 1080p quite wonderfully. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...-_-Product

On the other hand, I'm not sure about its capabilities for gaming. I'd be quite interested in what others think for your unique setup.
How to use Git
| AMD Athlon II X3 Triple Core Processor 2.9 GHz |GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H Mobo 2GB DDR2 Ram | MSI N430GT |
| Logitec Harmony Smart Control Remote| 52" Sharp Aquos LED TV | Denon AVR-X1000 |
| Freenas Server with 18TB ASRock Intel Avoton C2750 |

Thank you for your kind comments, seems like a nice card you have recommended but like you said it probably wouldn't do my infrequent gaming much justice, I have also been looking at the HD5770 vapor x, seems to have great low temps (without noisy fans), good efficiency whilst still maintaining a powerful crunch.

Thank you very much

Where did you get the Noctua 70mm fans as I've never seen them in that size and 70mm fans aren't exactly found in abundance

Sorry for confusion, the video went out before i had chance to edit it. The Noctua case fans are actually 80mm, it was my error on the video...

Thank you for pointing that out i really appriciate all your commentsBlushBlushBlush

Not sure about the quality, but at least it´s cheap: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.5185

A little weak for gaming. This would be better:

Seems quite bulky and i'm worried around the limited spare room i have left in my case, I know the idea of a passively cooled card seems ideal for a HTPC but they do all come out rather bulky.

I need to compromise with perhaps an efficient part fan part passive perhaps.......what are your views on the hd5770 vapor x, cant get this card out of my head at the moment and all my searches lead back to this radeon card NoNo

That plus Windows 7 premium would work great.

Dont get me wrong, most larger high end cards will physically fit this case, the HD4850 is a fairly long card in itself and wasn't too much of a problem installing it, it's more the case of you have to be careful and better manage your cables and connections...

I wouldn't let it put you off buying one if you had this case in mind previously.

check out my full review of this case on my website : http://jus-reviews.com/zalman-case.html

Just bought myself a new GPU, it's a "Radeon HD5770 VAPOR X", hopefully it will improve my graphics performance, run more quieter and has great temps...

Will be putting up a review video soon on the install.
