I'm having the same video problem running Live on a Shuttle XS35GT. HD movies, HD TV shows, and SD TV shows all play smoothly with HDMI audio enabled, but most SD movies (in .avi containers) stutter badly - around 3-4fps. If I switch to analogue audio the video plays smoothly (but no sound of course). Any ideas how to fix this, or what's causing it? Isn't it strange that SD movies are affected, but not SD TV shows? Is it somehow related to file size? I have no idea, total newbie to Linux ...
