XBMC on HD TV -> TV screen turns black after a few seconds
#1
Hello all.

I just connect my Mac Mini (OSX 10.4) to my 37" HD TV and it works fine as long as I did not start XBMC (what was the reason to connect the MAC to the TV)Big Grin

If XBMC ist started, the background picture of the skin (e.g. the one with the guitar in the default screen) is always shown as some type of black and white lines. The whole XBMC screen itself is doing some kind of flashing (every 1-2 seconds). Then after a few seconds the whole screen is unreadable (just little squares with white and black lines). Then the TV turns black and shows the signal information (1920 × 1080p, 60Hz). I always have to reboot the MAC to have a visible screen again.

While browsing the web and different formus, I found out that the frequency is changing from 60 hz to 50Hz if XBMC is running ( kick me when this is wrong).

I would like to change settings in the "System" section of XBMC, but because of the problem explained above I did not make it to there in time.

- Is there on XBMC for Mac (PPC) a section / config file for XBMC where I
can change settings before starting XBMC ?

- Can someone confirm that the frequency changes if XBMC is started ?

- and (what might be the best for me): Did someone run into the same
problem and have fixed it already (and is willingly to tell the solution) ?

Thanks+Regards,

SK
