I have 3 refurbished 3610s in my house now and have been very happy with them. The have been selling for about $265.

You use these as HTPCs? Do they stream 1080p nicely?

I've used a few different ones, here's the rundown.

Acer Revo 1600 - single core atom, ION graphics, 1gb ram, Ubuntu 10.5
- works great for all local media (including 1080p), Needs more ram for Win 7.

Dell 1018 Netbook - single core atom, 2gb ram, Intel 3200 video, Win 7.. 720p works, not fast enough for 1080p, will add the broadcom card for HD playback, barely fast enough for Netflix (have to close everything else down first)

Zbox - dual core atom, 2gb ram, Win 7, ION2 graphics
plays everything with no problems, including netflix

If I get another it'll have the dual core atom, 2gb ram, ION/ION2 graphics and Win 7

I'm kinda looking at the FoxCon box on Newegg.

YES it's a BAREBONES, so:

1) when you buy the combo deal, the 4GB DIMM is included but you have to install it by yourself
2) you don't need to purchase an OS if you go XBMC live or ubuntu-based; if you want win7, get ready to shelf some money.
3) for the beginning you can install XBMC live onto a USB stick but as that's kinda slow we always recommend small, cheap SSDs nowadays.

see the hardware subforum for recommendations. there's also a dedicated netbox 330i thread which I recommend you to read.
OpenElec Standalone --> Asus Chromebox 'Panther' --> Onkyo TX-NR709 --> Sony 55" X85C Android TV (also with Kodi!)
Asus Chromebox EZ Script
Kodi on Sony Bravia Android TVs

I use an R3610 with Win7 and it plays 1080p just fine.
