gforce 8100 vs 8200 vs 8300

Hello
What's difference between 8100 8200 and 8300 nvidia chipsets from HTPC point of view? I've searched everywhere and nowhere it's clear said what's different. On nvdia comparator there is listed:
- 8100 doesn't have purevideo(Huh) - in description it has it.
- 8100 lacks HybridPower (not important)
- 8300 has GB ethernet
Is it everything which differ those chipsets?

I think 8200 and 8300 are basically the same, while 8100 is about half as powerful.

less powerful = slower in 3D? or generally slower, for example worse VDPAU acceleration?

it's very difficult to find out the VDPAU-features of specific nvidia mGPU chipsets as the various online spec tables available refer to the dedicated graphics cards

personallyl, I would not get something lower than the G98 core, but all of your mentioned chipsets (as I assume you actually mean the various nforce 7 chipsets) support purevideo HD which *should* mean that they support at least VDPAU feature set A.

I honestly don't know if its a big enough step down to effect HD content playback. I have none of that hardware to test with.

I've played WALL-E HD with no problem through mplayer on my motherboard with built in 8300.

I think a 8300 is equal to an ION GPU- so full 1080p. But a 8100? I don't know about that.

Back in the 7xxx days a 7100 was half the speed of a 7200. If that is the case with the 8100, then no- it can't do full 1080p.

so there is still no source about how worse 8100 is...
The same seems to be about G100 comparing to G200 or GT220.
