Can't get XBMC to start, error loading shared libraries
#1
I tried to uprade from Dharma Beta 2, after the Revision 2 add-on stopped working; only I decided to try xbmc-pvr from http://www.loggn.de/ubuntu-xbmc-10-0-dha...epository/. This created a broken package problem, wouldn't install. So I removed it and the repository, and installed straight dharma (xbmc and standalone). It won't start up, in the terminal it gives an error: "error while loading shared libraries: libva-glx-0.31.0.6.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" ( gave an error for libva as well but I symlinked according to a post I found and fixed that one). I suspect I am going to have other file version issues, but I have no clue how to find and fix them. Please help!

The official XBMC package is not linked to vaapi, be sure to remove whatever you installed completely and install XBMC from the official repository.
