Ember Media Manager - Revisited (Open Source VB.NET Project)
AbMagFab Wrote:OMG, thanks! I thought I dug through everything, but not.

Perhaps you can help with this ->

Any idea what audio codec string will be recognized as DTS-HD or DTS-HD-MA in XBMC (specifically pre-Eden Confluence skin)? Running on Windows 7, so don't see the jpg's (they must be in a resource file). I've tried DTS-HD, DTSHD, DTSHD-MA, DTS_HD, DTSMA, DTS-MA...

Thanks again!

clubwerks Wrote:dtsma

Actually, FWIW, it's:
dtshd_ma
dtshd_hra

The only one I can't get recognized is PCM, which should be pcm_bluray, but that's not working.
By chance, has anyone using olympia's scraper for trailers tried to get Conan the Barbarian (2011)? I know it's on hd-trailers.net, but it doesn't find it. I'm just not getting into grabbing trailers and just trying to figure out if this is something I'm doing wrong on my end.
Are there any plans or ongoing efforts to have addl. languages (for the GUI and for the Ratings) in emm-r?
I think that there were some languages other the English supported in the "old" version.

if only someone could make emm-r autoupdate & auto scrape .. that would be truly excellent !!
I just got back to EMM, I must have had a really old version, the newest one works great for me.

got two questions:

For the movie rating it displays stars instead of the IMDB numerical rating, is there a way to change that?

I have go to youtube to check for trailers but all the trailers it seems to get are those from amazon, is there a way to change this?

thanks Smile

Is anyone able to download trailers properly with Rogue's latest scraper update or Olympia's 1.5?. Trailers are not downloading at all but I'm reading other's are downloading trailers properly
Trailers you have to download on manual individual scraping, and yes they are downloading
yeah, i don't know, like i said, EMM only seems to get trailers from amazon which i really dont like. I just go to youtube find the trailer in HD, punch the address into EMM and it downloads the trailer, which is fine, couple more clicks, no big deal. Smile

I continue to receive the following message when trying to select a poster for any of the movies I'm attempting to scrape:

Code:
Title: Error
Message: Argument 'Length' must be greater or equal to zero.
StackTrace:    at Microsoft.VisualBasic.Strings.Left(String str, Int32 Length)

This started occurring after I upgraded to 1.2 rev 2422.
I've decided its time to give Ember a new home. I've taken it upon myself to not only pick up the code where it was left off and attempt to continue development of it, but I've also create a new site for Ember so that it can be supported easily with forums, a wiki, bug and project tracking. Right now there isn't much to look at, but the source is there and available also on github. I plan to work on a release in the next few days.

Goals
To continue development of EmberMM, because its a great product, that in my opinion is the most stable and useful media manager available, I've tried all others, but yet still come back to Ember.

To provide a site where users can post questions, provide feedback, and in the long run provide an area where users can go for howto's, wiki forums etc.

I have about 1200 movies, individually picking trailers is not an option unfortunately. XBMC trailer downloading is perfect but my database gets wiped very often.

This is just awesome!. Kudo's for doing this. There's a newer version here with a bunch of fixes. Not sure if you want to start with that one

Thanks for the kudos, I did discover the latest version of the code, I believe the revision I'm working from is one up from the one that is in the thread you linked above.

I've pushed out a new release that updates a few things. A quick summary :

1) Updated to the latest version of sqlite library
2) Updated to the latest mediainfo library
3) Removed the check for .NET within code at launch, not 100% reliable.
4) Cleaned up references
5) Other miscellaneous stuff I can't think off at this point

The downloads can be found at the project site http://ember.purplepig.net/
