Hi everyone,
Have run into a small issue with Chinese Simplified subtitles on 10.0 Dharma.

Whenever a subtitle appears, there is a slight pause. This happens regardless of the resolution of the video, on a mid-2010 Mac Mini.

The Mac Mini is mostly virgin( just bought it 3 days ago ), connected via HDMI to an HDTV, running 10.6.6, XBMC settings are all default, with the exception of hardware accelerated rendering, which I have turned off.

Anyone know of a solution to this problem?

Looks like there are several bugs in the trac related to this, but not enough devs to go around. Since my gf is chinese, and we always watch with subtitles on, and it's driving me bonkers, I'm going to take a crack at fixing it, as soon as I get XBMC compiling.

Does anyone know if any of the other platforms have a problem with this? Or is it purely a Mac OS X problem?
