Possible interest in switching OS to Ubuntu for Dedicated XBMC

Got it. Thanks for that. Well, I found out that the VDPAU doesn't appear to work for all video cards. I am running an integrated Intel GMA 5700HD which is similar to the Intel 4500HD chipset. I'm running Hulu right now and the I5 processor is Pegged on one of the cores and the other 3 are over 50-60%.

I guess I will need to scrap the thought I could run this on a Laptop and go with a desktop with a decent video card.

Yea, Intel still seems to be catching up some on VDPAU support.

You could always try some of the bleeding edge X setups, maybe they'll have support? (I don't know much about VDPAU).
