Would you confirm that it can play m2ts (blue-ray ripped file)? Thanks

12.5 gb 1080p mkv - without any problem Smile thanks thanks thanks

Could you run media info on that and tell us the bitrate? The guys are FireCore, who have been working on bringing ATVflash's full features to ATV2 have said they streamed a 14Mbps bitrate 1080p MKV to the ATV2 without any stutter, FF/RW working nicely. So the A4 CPU is obviously very capable.

THe next ATV built on the dual-core A5 will be crazy.

Has anyone tried enabling mySQL yet? Is it possible with this build? Was loving having my library synced up house-wide. If this works as well as initial reports say and we can use MySQL I'm selling all my other boxes and going 100% ATV2!

Yes - the comments on homepage has a user using mysql (and the location of advancedsettings.xml)

pbjr Wrote:Hello, need some help too. Says I need "org.awkwardtv.whitelist"? Is that another apt source? I followed the wiki off the home page and it did not mention that step. I'm going to see if I can add it myself.

Thnx.

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2: Depends: org.awkwardtv.whitelist but it is not installable
E: Broken packages

FIX: If anyone follows the wiki step by step including the links to JB, they don't mention this step to add this additional repo.

apt-get install wget
wget -O- http://apt.awkwardtv.org/awkwardtv.pub | apt-key add -
echo “deb http://apt.awkwardtv.org/ stable main” > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/awkwardtv.list
apt-get update

Now it's time to check it out!

Thanks!

thanks! this info helped me. not sure why the wiki doesn't have that info. you think they should have expected people to pickup an atv2 and just jailbreak it for this!

I tried to installed XBMC per instructions on a ATV2G 4.1(4.0 in About) but was not successful. ATV2G has Plex, NitoTV, Groovy, Overflow and others but didnt install XBMC.

RSN-ATV:~ root# apt-get install org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2

The response is INMMEDIATE so I tried to load seatbeltunlock but get other erros about bsdiff not installable, etc.

Does anybody know why?

I dont want to install it on FW 4.2.1 since its tethered and got kids at home who cant do a reboot if necessary.
