Current set up:
XBMC running on WHS machine with ATI Video card.
Connected to TV via HDMI
TV runs optical to (older) 5.1 receiver
In this configuration I simply can not get a digital signal. I do get a digital signal on the receiver from other sources (xbox360, cable etc) with the TV feeding the optical audio to the receiver. So I know that that pass-through is working just fine (and sounds great).
But with XBMC I seem to be only getting a 2.0 feed to the receiver.
I know the arrangement is not too standard, but I feel as if I am just missing something simply in the windows or XBMC set up.
Does anyone have any suggestions at all?
