I'm thrilled that I got XBMC running on my 40GB ATV. Thanks!
After using streaming for awhile, I'd like to take my media server out of the equation and just play some files stored on the local ATV HDD.
I'm able to sftp in and see the file structure, but am unsure to where I would copy the files.
It seems that this could be a potential location:
/mnt/Scratch/Users/frontrow/Movies
or perhaps
/mnt/Media/Media Files
which seems to have my current AppleTV compatible videos stored in subfolders here with strange names (DEZY.m4v for a 60 minutes episode) for instance
or even better, can I just make my own files and Add the Source as normal along whatever path I come up with?
Getting this right will save my wife, and in turn me, a lot of hassle!
Any best practices in this regards or do I have the freedom to set up as it makes sense to me?
Thanks!
